Designed and built a comprehensive API layer for a multi-vendor e-commerce platform. The gateway handles product catalog, order management, payment processing, inventory sync, vendor onboarding, and real-time notifications.
Challenge
Existing monolithic system couldn't handle peak traffic and had no vendor isolation.
Solution
Redesigned as a modular API-first backend with vendor scoping, rate limiting, and event-driven async processing.
